Since there's no Mod here, would the regulars here like the swear filter turned off? Noticed that there are a LOT of stars & purposely misspelled "naughty words" that would otherwise receive stars . I could ask one of the admins to disable the filter if a majority of regulars here wish it.

But then we couldn't curse the ******* swear filter because it would be gone.

I am fine either way. I just don't like that d@mn is filtered. I use it too much I guess. And I guess the 'Dave' guy who is supposed to be moderating this board doesn't actually exist...

The only problem I have with the swear filter is that it even censors the milder varations of swear words... such as ******** (fr?gg?ng)? WTF?
Nine times out of ten everybody knows what word is being used... so it doesn't matter if the filter is on or off?!

Almost all of the boards I visit have the filter disabled, except this one and the Admin boards. It's just a bit frustrating when words that may be used as swears or curses but rather used in an innocent way (ie; d@mn & HEdoublehockeysticks) or innocent words sometimes mistaken by the filter as swears (f illed) turn into stars.
PS - This thread is linked to an administrative board and asked that it be checked on in a couple days. Therefore, what you say in this thread will be viewed by shatzy and/or Steven. If you wish the filter disabled, put in the request here (it's your board).
